SnapLedge runs your receipts through a leading frontier vision-language model to extract merchant, line items, date, tax, total, and category in about 3 seconds per receipt. When the model is not confident in its first pass, a fallback harness automatically re-runs the extraction against an even stronger model — you do not have to opt in. The specific models can be reconfigured by admins over time as the underlying providers improve, so accuracy keeps climbing without a redeploy or a code change on your end. In practice, the most common errors are illegible handwriting and thermal-paper fade, both of which a human would also struggle with.

Yes. Every user has a private, isolated folder for receipt images, enforced by row-level security at the database layer. We strip location metadata (GPS, EXIF) from every image at upload time so your saved receipts never carry where you were. There are no third-party trackers, no ad networks, and no analytics SDKs in the dashboard. You can delete everything — receipts, account, exported reports — in one click.

Yes. SnapLedge is a Progressive Web App: open the camera, snap a receipt, and the capture queues locally on your device. As soon as you are back online, queued receipts process automatically — you do not need to remember to retry. The dashboard itself also caches enough to view your recent receipts and category breakdown without a connection.

Receipt extraction itself works globally — the AI parses merchant names, totals, and tax rates regardless of region. Country-specific tax reporting (downloadable tax summaries with the correct line items per local conventions) is available for Malaysia (MY) and Singapore (SG) on the Ultimate plan. We are expanding regional tax coverage based on user demand.

We resize images to a max of 1000px on the long edge before sending them to the AI, which keeps extraction fast without sacrificing readability.
